Field Trips and Team Building

Thank you for considering FUSE Makerspace to be the location of your next field trip or team building! We are excited to share our facility and interests with your group. We offer the follow options for groups wishing to visit FUSE Makerspace.

Tier 1: Tour and Buttonmaking

Participants will take a tour of FUSE Makerspace and will be able to create buttons using the buttonmaker. This is available for all ages and capacity is capped at 30 total participants.

Price: Free

Tier 2: Tour and Activity

Participants will take a tour of FUSE Makerspace and will be able to choose between the following activities: 

Option 1: Sticker Printing

Your group will provide a design of your choice prior to the workshop. Our talented staff will demonstrate how stickers are prepped for the machine, then demo the machine for your group. All participants will receive a sticker at the end.  

This is available for all ages and capacity is capped at 30 total participants. 

Option 2: Screenprinting

Your group will provide a design of your choice prior to the workshop, or you can choose from one of ours! Our talented staff will then help participants screenprint and dry their very own tote bag. 

This is available for all ages and capacity is capped at 30 total participants. 

Price: $450

Note: Discounts are available for non-profit and educational groups.

Tier 3: Tour and Mini-Workshop

Participants will take a tour of FUSE Makerspace and will be able to choose between the following activities: 

Option 1A: Laser Cut Drink Caddy 

Users will import a drink caddy file into Adobe Illustrator, add a custom design, cut it out on the Epilog, and put it together. 

This is recommended for ages 21+ and capacity is capped at 6 total participants 

Option 1B: Laser Cut Puzzle 

Users will import a puzzle file into Adobe Illustrator, add a custom design, cut it out on the Epilog, and put it together.

This is available for ages 12+ and capacity is capped at 6 total participants. 

Option 2: Giant Jenga 

Each user will be able to use woodshop equipment to create a giant Jenga piece, then will be able to play a game of Jenga together with other participants. 

This is available for ages 16+ and capacity is capped at 15 total participants.

Tier 4: Tour and Private Workshop

Participants will take a tour of FUSE Makerspace and will receive a private session of one of FUSE’s Operation and Safety workshops.

This is available for ages 12+ and capacity is dependent on class (usually 3-5 students). 

Price: Varies

Note: This tier only includes our regular FUSE classes and curriculum; any changes to the FUSE curriculum will be considered custom training and will be charged accordingly for curriculum development, supplies and class instruction.

Tier 5: Tour and Custom Training

Our staff will work with you to create a completely customized training built specifically for your organization’s interests and needs.

Field Trips

Here is some general information regarding field trips at FUSE:

  • 1 chaperone is required per 5 students.
  • 30 students maximum per visit.
  • We charge for visits that include an activity or workshop (see above for tiers). Tours are provided at no cost.
  • A FUSE Makerspace waiver must be signed in order to participate in the activities.
  • Everyone must wear closed toed shoes in the facility at all times and protective goggles when on the shop floor!

We also like to promote our other STEM partners in the city who work more closely with students. We would encourage you to check our their offerings that might fit in line with your curriculum.
